Demeanor:Although his outward appearance is quite kindly <he says it's the
Azuran part of him> Larioth is hell bent on the destruction of the rebels.
He has what might be called "the common touch" and spends most of his time
together with the privates rather than other officers. Larioth prefers to be
called by his first name.
Quote: "It makes me proud to be standing here today with such brave
men as you."
Background: Larioth is an Imperial officer and the bastard son of an unknown
stormtrooper who decided to have a bit of a night out celebrating the
imperial takeover of the planet Azura. Larioth grew up not having any
friends among the local Azurans. They hated him due to his half human
origins, as it was the humans who had taken over their planet and killed so many of
their people. Larioth thus turned away from his people and ran from home to
join an imperial academy at 15 <hard to come by after the fall of Endor>.
Larioth loved his time among the imperials, where he was treated well and
respected <partly due to the uncanny likeness between him and grand admiral
Thrawn>. Larioth was good at his work, and after a certain mission he was
awarded a crozius Arcanum to bear into battle by the main imperial warlord
of the time. Although Larioth is a captain he still prefers the cameraderie
and friendship that exists among the privates to the beurocratic crap that
exists among some of the higher ranks. When on an away mission he will
sleep with the privates rather than hidden away among the other officers and he is not
generally liked by other captains who are firmly aginst his outlandish
methods as well as the fact that he's the only captain who any squaddies can feel
confident around, greatly increasing their effectiveness as a team.
The ambush at starbase 48
Larioth looked around at the ferns and bushes that made up the unknown
planets jungles which had been still ever since the imperials arrived, only the
occasional spider-fly landing on his black visor showed that there was any life
surrounding the old pre-endor base at all. He had been sent here a week before to act
as a security guard for some high ranking grand admiral, and to put it blunty, he
didn't like it. He didn't even know who he was meant to be guarding or what planet
he was on, for the emperor's sake. He did know that at least four high ranking
individuals had arrived, counting four separate landing craft coming down on the
lightly cloaked landing pod, and were here to plan some counterstrike somewhere.
Larioth walked around the base at a march, his old repeater blaster held lightly in his
black gloved hands, to see if he could get some information from any of his mates. on
the other side of the concrete bunker which they were guarding.
"Wh..." Larioth began, when suddenly there was a large explosion in
one of the bunkers.
"Oh shi..." he turned to the other trooper whose white armour was glistening in the
sun and then back at the base and then started running towards the storage shed. As
he arrived and looked around
at all the other white clad storm troopers he suddenly realised something,
"Quick, I think this is a diversion, everyone follow me".
Running towards the main bunker together with around 30 other stormtroopers and
looking ahead he saw that the entrance had been blown apart. Several
rebels were standing by the still smoking entrance, their figures highlighted
against the still burning frame. Larioth wondered how they had managed to
blow the door open so effectively without making any noise, but put the
thought to the back of his mind. He instead wondered how he was going to
get through the door which was heavily guarded by assault cannon wielding
rebels. A frontal attack would obviously be suicidal; his men would be
mown down like wheat. The rebels had not yet seen his squad and he ordered
them to pull back against the nearest wall using hand signals. "O.k. lads", he
whispered, "this is what we're gonna do."
Captain Warrath watched as a small handful of storm troopers walked slowly
up towards him, arms raised. "I surrender" said the one at the front, a
man with a pallid light blue skin and apparently wearing a mess officer's
uniform. "Who're you?" said Warrath questioningly, keeping his blaster
trained on the man's chest.
"Who do you think" smiled the blue skinned officer back at him, "What, you
didn't really think I was dead did you?"
"You're too young, Imperial." said Warrath nervously.
"Hah, not quite, I was so badly injured after what you did to me that I had to
have my face cloned" grinned the man who was apparently Grand Admiral Thrawn.
"Wait, Imperial", replied Warrath nervously and turned slightly to see if
any of his fellows knew what to do and as he started to ask a new question which
Larioth knew would throw him off balance, Larioth pulled out a gas grenade from
behind his head and threw it at the hastily set up unit of rebels, ducking to avoid any
retaliating fire coming his way before the nerve gas acted. Larioth then strapped a
small cone shaped gas mask onto his bare face as 30 stormtroopers jumped out from
on top of the bunker, unharmed by the noxious gases the grenade produced. Larioth
wondered why the rebels never bothered to protect their faces as he stepped through
the door of the bunker and started down a series of steps which looked as though they
had originally been black although the amount of chippings on it made it hard to tell.
The grenade had not made much sound, and none of the rebels inside knew of what
had just happened. Larioth led his men slowly through the corridors of the
underground bunker, meeting sporadic light resistance. He was soon outside the room
where the various imperial admirals were lying, tied up, while the rebels searched
through various datapads and files. It was obvious that any entry to the room would
risk his superiors' lives, and throwing one of his grenades in would ruin the admirals'
nervous systems as well as those of the rebel scum.
Suddenly, it came to him.
"You two go get me some of the rebels back there, or rather their uniforms." Larioth
felt like he was a kid, constantly switching into various completely different kits to play
different roles in some game, the only problem being that this wasnt a game.
"Sir, The area is secured." Said a young half azuran rebel trooper as he stepped into
the meeting room, followed closely by two of his fellows. "A load of
stormtroopers made a mad charge at us, but we cut them all down without any
major losses".
"Good", smiled one of the rebel officers, "These damn stormtroopers are so
predictable. We'd better get going before any reinforcements arrive".
"Yes,sir", grinned Larioth. He and the two storm troopers who had dressed
as rebels, together with two of the real troopers, picked up the imperial
admirals and, lagging behind slightly from the 3 rebel officers, stepped slightly
out of the room...and then back in again. A hail of blaster fire came from the
corridor, and screams echoed back to their ears. Larioth and his two fellows
then finished off the two rebel troopers who had joined them.
Less than a month later Larioth was awarded the rank of captain, as well as
being presented with a Crozius Arcanum.
